The Sophomore Survey was administered during the Spring of 1998 to all second-semester Sophomores who had earned between 45 and 60 hours toward a degree with at least 30 of those hours completed at Carolina. The survey has been administered since 1998 by the UNC Office of the President on a biennial basis to all 16 campuses in the system as part of the state-wide assessment activities. During this 1998 administration 1,600 UNC-Chapel Hill students were administered the survey and 905 responded for a response rate of 56.6 percent.
The data displayed here are broken out in broad topical areas and may be displayed by race, gender or college. The “Do Not Know” responses are excluded for all mean and “Excellent/Good” calculations.
